              Paul Strand was an american photographer and filmmaker. He was born on October 16, 1890 in New York City, New York. He was a student who renowned photography. One of his pieces was called Photograph- New York  and it was taken in New York. The first image is called "Blind Women"and it was taken in 1916. The medium he used was Platinum Print and it was classified as photographs. It's a street portrait. He used a specific technique to take this picture. 

             The second picture is called "City Hall Park" and it was taken in New York in 1915. It became one of his permanent collection and it was also a Platinum Print. Today there is no way it can be displayed. It was based off American culture.He was introduced to photography by Lewis Hine. It was for a movement for Modern Art. 

            The third piece is called " Wall Street (Photograph)" and it taken in 1915. Today there is only two vintage prints of this painting. One is  Whitney Museum of American Art (printed posthumously) which is located in Manhattan, New York. The other is located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The reason he took this photograph was to push towards modernism. Its supposed to be the lives of Manhattan's workers passing by everyday. Paul Strand died March 31st, 1976 in Oregeval, France.
