The retail price is $549 on Amazon but I'm sure you can buy it at Best Buy. You should start with this camera then eventually move on to a better one when you are learning. The setting and the menu settings are easy to use they were made to be used by everyone, they aren't difficult. The pictures and proficiency are excellent to create nice and crisp pictures.
